In a groundbreaking move, the Maharashtra cabinet has given the green light to the state’s maiden export incentive policy, aiming to lure investments worth a staggering Rs 25,000 crores. Maharashtra has its sights set on claiming a substantial 22% slice of India’s ambitious $1 trillion export target by 2030.
The policy’s mission is nothing short of transformational, with objectives that include catapulting the state’s current export value from $72 billion to a remarkable $150 billion and launching 30 game-changing export infrastructure projects within the next five years.
This visionary policy is slated to remain in force until 2027-28 and is poised to be a game-changer for over 5,000 MSMEs, as well as larger projects, fostering the creation of a whopping 40,000 job opportunities, according to government estimates.

Under its benevolent wings, the government will extend its financial support, offering up to Rs 50 crore for export-oriented specific projects and a generous Rs 100 crore for export-oriented industrial parks.
But it doesn’t end there—this policy sets its sights on transforming districts into thriving export hubs, fostering regional growth, and ensuring that every corner of Maharashtra contributes significantly to the state’s export prowess.”
